Ways to tell if your marijuana is good quality

A lot of us tend to get our hands on some weed that we can’t actually point out if it’s good quality or not. And what worse feeling than finding out your weed wasn’t up to the standards you were expecting. For this reason, we at Cannabis Barcelona have compiled this list to help you with finding out if the weed you’re after is of good quality or not.

The Color of the bud

Most marijuana buds should be green, some with shades of purple and slight hints of orange. But that’s it; if you see any black, brown or just any dark color, that means that the weed isn’t what you should be looking for. 

The feel of the bud

As a herb, you don’t want your weed to be too dry as it will burn too quickly, nor do you want it too wet, as it might burn at the pace you want it. It has to be somewhere in between dry and wet, with a little bit of stickiness to it. Our previous article shows you how to properly store your weed.

Crystal count

The amount of those shiny small crystal like pieces you see on your buds are related to how THC potent your weed is, so the more crystals the merrier.

Pistils count

It’s those orange like hairs on your bud; the more you see them on the flower, the more mature and pollinated your plant is, thus yielding a better outcome.

Sticks, stems, and the occasional seeds

Your weed should come with the bare minimum of stems to hold the marijuana together. the more you see sticks in your bud, the worse it is. Seeds are a clear indicator that your weed isn’t of the best quality.

Odor and taste

Your weed should have a specific smell, if it smells somewhat close to hay or any other neutral plant, that means your weed is bad. Same goes for the taste, weed should taste fresh and have the feeling of a specific dank taste.

The high

Ultimately, the best indicator for good weed is the quality of high you get after consuming it. a good, non hazy high with no headaches nor nausea is the best sign of having top quality weed.
