Cannabis clubs in Eixample

Ildefons Cerdà's 19th-century grid of chamfered blocks is easy to navigate, and the metro covers it well: L2, L3 and L4 at Passeig de Gràcia, L3 and L5 at Diagonal, and L1 under the Gran Via at Universitat, Urgell and Rocafort. By day the area is shops, offices and Modernista façades such as Casa Batlló; at night the action moves to the Esquerra, around Carrer d'Enric Granados and Consell de Cent.

In the Esquerra de l'Eixample, Barcelona Weed Club is at Casanova, 33, and Zkittlez Weed Club, which runs as a non-profit association, at Muntaner, 10; Barcelona Coffeeshop (Aragó, 60) is modeled on the Amsterdam coffeeshop; Gelato Weed Club is at Viladomat, 109, and Royal Weed Club, which puts discretion first, at Entença, 146. On the eastern side of the district, Dragon Weed Club (Bruc, 58) is known for its décor and G13 Weed Club (Nàpols, 187) for its relaxed setting. Mary Jane Weed Club, for its part, offers a stylish space on Avinguda Diagonal, at number 434.

Every Eixample club listed here is a private, members-only association: you need to be of legal age, show valid ID and usually be referred by an existing member. Consumption is limited to the inside of each club.
